Amadou Gallo Fall, President of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) since 2019, launched the league in May 2021 and shapes its long-term vision and strategy. He oversees both business and basketball operations, aiming to build a strong basketball ecosystem in Africa.
Previously, Fall was Vice President & Managing Director of NBA Africa, where he expanded the game across the continent, opened the NBA’s Johannesburg office, and led grassroots initiatives. He earlier served as Director of Player Personnel for the Dallas Mavericks, playing a key role in global outreach and Basketball Without Borders.
Fall founded the SEED (Sports for Education and Economic Development) a non-profit organization to empower African youth through sport. He has received multiple leadership awards for his contributions to the growth of the game of basketball and youth development on the African continent, including the Naismith Legacy Award and New African’s 100 Most Influential Africans.
