Marzieh Hamidi is an athlete and taekwondo champion of Afghan origin, born in Iran. Living in France for 3 years, she is one of the revelations of the year for her political commitment and activism for the rights of women in Afghanistan and throughout the world. Marzieh Hamidi has been living under police protection in France for several months, after receiving numerous death and rape threats over the past 3 months for denouncing the Taliban regime and the conditions of Afghan women.
