The Ivorian-Belgium entrepreneur Gabrielle Lemaire was born in Abidjan. A law graduate from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Gabrielle specialized in marketing and communication at the European Communication School. After earning a Master’s degree in Communication, Marketing, and Crisis Management in London, she worked for GDF Suez, D8 News, and later led the communication department at BNP Paribas in Côte d’Ivoire. Founder of her own communication agency, Barons, she collaborates with various Ivorian ministries and is actively involved in lobbying between Africa and Europe.
Actively present in the political ecosystem, she operates within the Ivorian and European “Patronat” and is an active member of the European Chamber of Commerce. Her multicultural background allows her to navigate seamlessly between these two worlds.
Her engagement for women in general has made her a strategic asset for the development of women’ entrepreneurship. Committed to sustainable development in Africa, Gabrielle was advisor to the Minister of Water and Forests then to the president of COP 15. She is co-directing the Didier Drogba foundation as vice-president and has made the subject of sustainability one of the central pillars of the organization.
