Carlos Takam is a French-Cameroonian professional boxer and heavyweight contender known for his resilience in the ring and philanthropic efforts across Africa. Over nearly two decades, Takam has fought top contenders like Anthony Joshua and Joe Joyce, securing numerous regional titles such as the WBC Silver and WBO Africa heavyweight championships.Outside boxing, Takam is deeply committed to social causes. He founded the Carlos Takam Foundation to support education, health, and boxing development in Cameroon and other African countries. Through the foundation, he also launched initiatives such as a boxing academy in Rwanda, aimed at nurturing future athletes and providing educational support for young boxers. Takam collaborates with organizations like Sport en Commun and Boxing for Peace to foster community development through sports across Africa.
